Executive Order update:
Announced on January 5, 2021 and becomes effective from January 8, 2021 for 30 days. "If at any time I feel that our hospitals could be compromised, I will adjust, but in the meantime I have to give them the quality of life that the people deserve," said the Governor Pedro Pierluisi Urrutia.

The executive order currently valid expires on January 7, 2021. This order establishes a curfew from 9:00 pm to 5:00 am with a 24-hour lock-down on Sundays, among other restrictions. This until Pedro Pierluisi Urrutia’s order goes into effect on January 8, 2021.

Thank you in advance for being cautious and not only protecting yourselves but our local community. It is necessary to note that in Vieques, we do not take COVID-19 virus lightly. Our beautiful island does not have a hospital. Therefore, it is extremely concerning to the community, especially the elderly, for travelers to wear their masks and always social distance.
